So, as near as I can tell we’re playing a game best described as – “Keep the hot potato away from seekers lest they get turned into shepherd’s pie.”
Yeah, the Paratraph care about us enough to try and keep our existence secret, but trying to lay low when you have a planet looking for you isn’t really in anybody’s rule book.
As nears as I can tell, Jatuun is trying to protect us, but let’s face it, a planet that leaves its orbit tends to leave some very big ripples in the real world— and in the well itself.
I’m not sure how the Lasatiea travel in the well but as near as I can tell they use black holes and when they need them are more than willing to create them. According to Jatuun, the only thing they can’t travel through is the void.
Now we just have to figure out what the void is.
