295-Valkyrie’s View: A Year Among the Stars

October 21th, 2552/ January 21st 2553 – Ebb and flow
Pilot/Explorer/Interpreter Kat “S-Kat” James Reporting

There is a pulse to the expansion. I didn’t notice it before because I was in and out of it when I would spy on the outside world.

Hell, I’m running the clock on my ship with two different timezones where the difference is measured in months. For me, it’s still October, but for the rest of the crew, we’ve managed to survive our first year in space.

We’re taking turns scouting out the real world vs. Our life on the void. Some people are gone for less than a minute – others, like me, are gone significantly longer.

As I said, there is an ebb and flow to the edge we’ve made home, and we’re learning to sense when its time to move.

I’m just trying to stay focused and keep my clock running. These days— running is a good thing.
