Structural Engineer/Subversive Rescue Operations Director Kat “S-Kat” James Reporting
I think we were all in shock. 7 skiffs, full medical staff, or scavenging teams— just a field of debris. I knew I should high tail it, but where?
There were more of us on board that we had supplies and I think the passengers figured that out about the same time I did.
And then I saw a well opening up behind us— I was about to jump when I got a hail from Tower who was riding with G-man. It seems that the adults we rescued wanted nothing to do with our rescue and preferred a death sentence carried out by their high command than a life-time on the run with us.
The Ani did thank us for the information about the cure. In gratitude, they gave the crew enough time to dump what we’d salvaged and leave before they blasted it out of existence
We still have the diagrams and the fighter— and three Ani Children who are calling Druckab, ‘uncle’.
The Ani were willing to give them a chance with us and my presence didn’t start a war. It didn’t ease any tensions, but at least we’re still not at war.
I guess that’s something
