It would seem that traveling in and out of the well does indeed deal with the parasites, however, the effect of being exposed to the vile things and the poisons they excrete is cumulative.
The dangers outweigh the return and so we are moving on to the next site. It’s in the same quadrant, but far enough away that the parasites are not there – I’m not sure what to expect, but as I think about the planet I’d picked as a potential landing site is in the running and I still have a really good feeling about it.
