296-Valkyrie’s View: A Year Among the Stars

It was someone else’s turn to not show up – and we’re hoping that it’s just that they hit one of the eddies as they were leaving or coming back in. We did get a report from one of the other observers and alliances have shifted and the Parataph, the Ani, and the Lasatiea are all fighting each other.— I know we’re too small to really matter and our tech doesn’t stand a chance against others but – it’s really hard to sit on the sidelines and see things you feel are wrong and do nothing about them because it will get you killed.
I think we’ve already proven that as a race we’re a tad on the suicidal side of things – we need to push barriers; we need to make a stand; we need to fight, and being outgunned, outclassed, and generally outnumbered isn’t going to matter and logic says we should stay small and quiet and bide our time, but well, we aren’t known for our logic.
We’re going to keep pushing things and trying to bend the universe to our will – until it bends or we break. It’s just the way we are.
