Well, it wasn’t all in my head, but some of it was. Askir and Almir were studying us for their own purposes, and Adalgisa was there to protect them more than to protect me, and Tower, but since we took them with us when we escaped the Lasatiea attack, and brought as many people as we could with us – it seems they’re willing to hear us out.
Not that that really helps us right now since our one and only attempt to return to the Parataph fleet ended in another series of jumps to keep away from the Lasatiea.
All I really remember was my head feeling like it was going to explode and a very angry Tower yelling at my supposed friends.
I think we’re on our own for now – but the Gumbo only had supplies for me for a month – and now, we’ve got a week, maybe— if we stretch things out.
I don’t know – right now I’m opting for sleeping in a hammock near the controls in case I’m needed, although Tower woke me up long enough for me to eat and take care of business.
We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us.
