Escape Pilot Kat James Reporting
I was a little too tired to do anything more than observe people as we worked to make sure that we hadn’t been followed.
In my less than awake state, I found myself wondering once again if this was a test. Of the people we’d managed to rescue, five were conscriptees, two were Parataph guards and four were technicians.
The guards, of course, wanted to head back to the Parataph Fleet, the concriptees were just as happy not to, and the technicians were still dealing with the fact that I had opened a jump point inside a landing bay.
It really didn’t matter what people did or what they decided, I was the one who would have to fly the Gumbo out and commit to the plan, which meant I had the final say.
While I didn’t like the idea, I knew we needed to find out who was responsible. We’ll try again tomorrow.
