So, instead of hiding by, you know, staying out of the way and keeping our heads down, we’re practicing the art of being seen while not being seen. It’s a tricky little game involving a lot of misdirection and sleight of hand— which is hard enough when you’re trying to hide a utility vehicle— but a fleet?
We’re relying on false trails and my favorite trick, the hall of mirrors, which I just happen to know how to navigate, and I have been known to accidentally open up mirrors into other worlds and alternate realities at opportune moments. I’m honing that skill.
The only problem is the fact that I haven’t really learned how to control that trick but Tower and Fipps have been consulting with the Paratraph and the Askimiri and coming up with new variations on the trick that I might be able to pull off.
Our current experiment is that instead of finding an actual alternate reality – I try projecting one. We’ll see as it goes, but in the meantime, it’s all smoke and mirrors until they find us.
