So – having no idea where Earth is from here has its advantages – there’s no need to worry about telepathic entities picking up on it, but… they do pick up on a lot you don’t think they would.
They know I’m different. They know I’m somehow tied to Baljatuun and the Fates, they probably understand it better than I do, but when they caught sight of the Lasatiea in my mind’s eye, they practically writhed with… it was more than anger… more than rage it was this all-consuming fire and the need to rip and rend flesh from bone.
And the gentlest of touches in my mind – like someone soothing a fretful child— told me that any action from them against us would not be taken well…
Only there were a lot more ‘kid-safe’ versions of rending them into their component parts.
