It seems some of the differences between human martial arts and GarTakTah is the center of balance and the environments it was designed to be used in.
The moves were simple enough but when you are thrown into Zero-G, the moves take on a whole new intricacy. When you mix them with the smattering of Martial arts and boxing I’ve picked up it can get very interesting very quickly— especially with martial arts like Judo where you use the person’s momentum against them.
That gets really interesting really fast, so I worked on learning the moves designed for the environment while working hard not to sidestep attacks. Something tells me that seeing me using the well without a ship would not sit well with some of my keepers.
We worked for about an hour in zero-G and I actually got to see what happens when you try Judo throw in zero-G – let’s just say, it did not go as I expected and I have a new respect for GarTakTah.
