Convict Consriptee Kat James Reporting
The day had started out as usual, but we could sense a tension around us. Tower gave me a look that made me want to run and hide, but that wasn’t an option. There was a question in his eyes as he looked at our guard and then Askir and Almir. I nodded.
If the shit hit the fan, I wanted to protect them. I trusted them, and more importantly, I liked them.
They hadn’t tried to stop people from letting me get myself killed, but they hadn’t helped either. And in this environment, that’s everything in an environment like this.
Besides the way I see it, the more people you have on your side when things go down— the more options you have.
Nothing really happened today but the tension kept ratcheting up until I was twitching when it came time for my evening yoga.
Corpse Pose was less relaxing and more prophetic feeling, but I tried to keep things on an even keel.
